NOTICE is hereby given that the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of Cardiff Athletic Club will be held in The Pack Bar at Cardiff Arms Park on the on 31st January 2024 commencing at 7.00pm. Your Cardiff Athletic Club current membership card must be shown in order to gain entry to the meeting.

AGENDA

1. To read the Notice convening the Annual General Meeting.

2. Apologies for absence.

3. To agree the minutes of the Meeting held on 25th April 2023.

4. To receive the Annual Report.

5. To receive the Annual Statement of Accounts.

6. To elect the President.

7. To elect the Vice Presidents.

8. To appoint Auditors.

9.To confirm election of Members to the Management Committee.

10. To transact such other business as shall be allowed by the Chairman as fairly arising out of the agenda.

It would facilitate the smooth running of the meeting if questions regarding the accounts or requiring detailed answers could be communicated to the Chairman by 27th January 2024.

Cardiff Athletic Club is saddened to hear of the death of our past President Mervyn Warfield and send our condolences to his family. Mervyn was a dedicated servant and friend of the Athletic Club, having been a member for over 50 years. Mervyn was an active hockey player from the 1960s to the 1980s being remembered as a hard but fair player - also a team captain, a hockey umpire and later chair of the hockey section. Mervyn made time to support all of the sections of the Athletic Club and was later Chair of the Management Committee and was proud to have been appointed President of the Athletic Club in late 2014. Mervyn will be greatly missed by his friends at Cardiff Athletic Club.

Cardiff Athletic Club will mark their centenary with a special 100 year Anniversary Celebration Dinner at the Arms Park.

The event will take place on Friday, 18th November, and includes a three-course meal and live entertainment.
